For those who haven't caught up with me in quite a while here is the short version-I married by best friend and the love of my life Sam Bishop on Aug 4, 2006 and we are now working on our 60+ years together.
I am currently living in Custer SD and love it here! For those of you who don't know where Custer is, it is about 40 miles south of Rapid City, SD. We live about 20 mins. from Mt. Rushmore and right in the middle of the Black Hills and right outside of Custer State Park.
We have been here for just about 3 years now and try to enjoy every minute of it! We bought our first house and along with the responsiblity of mortgage payments comes the realization that "oh we can just fix that" isn't as easy as the realtor makes it look like when she is trying to sell you the house! So for the past 3 years we have been up to our elbows in home improvement projects and have become expert do-it-yourself-ers. It has been challenging but fun to see all of the changes but I will be glad when we are done!! (Pictures to come)
On November 24th, 2009 our lives took a turn that we spent the last 9 months preparing for but never could have imagined how different life would be. Noah Samuel Bishop blessed our lives weighing in at 6lbs 11oz. I haven't been able to take my eyes off of him since! He has become the center of my universe and I wouldn't have it any other way. After he showed up it became apparent to me that I have a much more important purpose in life now so I quit my job at Rapid City Regional Hospital ER to start my new job, being a stay at home Mommy!! Sam and I are so blessed to be lucky enough to be a single income family and we decided to take advantage of that. Noah is growing so fast and changes so much every day so rest assure that the majority of my blogs will be about him-I will probably blog about every milestone and even every tooth he cuts!
